Role Overview
The Account Director will be instrumental in shaping the commercial growth across both established and emerging accounts. Responsible for developing and executing impactful sales strategies, this role offers a combination of strategic oversight and hands-on account management within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster strong, proactive relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Develop and negotiate joint business plans aligned with organisational goals.
- Manage P&L, including volume, value, and gross profit analysis, supporting invoicing and credit control where necessary.
- Support forecasting activities to inform business decisions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and report insights promptly.
- Contribute to the professional development of the wider commercial team through knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Supply Chain teams to develop strategic plans and product category recommendations.
- Lead project activities from inception through to launch, ensuring best-in-class delivery.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth within existing accounts and new prospects.
- Support category development with cross-functional teams, ensuring client solutions remain competitive and innovative.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 5 years’ experience within the Retail Display / POS / Shop-Fit sectors.
- A current role at SNAM or experienced NAM level, with a strong commercial background.
- Highly numerate with a good understanding of account financials.
- Proactive, self-driven, and highly organised, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to build relationships quickly and credibly.
- Excellent communication skills, able to manage challenging situations effectively.
- A university or college graduate.
