I am looking for an experienced and organised Workshop Controller to manage the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop in Hopscroft, England. This key role is responsible for controlling workflow, maximising productivity, and ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You will act as the central link between technicians, service advisors, and management, helping to deliver an excellent level of service to both customers and the business.
The successful candidate will plan and allocate work based on technician skill levels and availability, monitor job progress and turnaround times, and ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and company standards. You will support and motivate the workshop team, assist with technical problem-solving when required, and maintain strong health and safety and housekeeping standards. Clear communication with service advisors is essential to provide accurate updates on job status, timescales, and any delays.
To be considered, you should have proven experience in a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar automotive role, with strong technical knowledge and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, along with a proactive, hands-on approach. A full UK driving licence is required.
