Senior Program Manager – Retail Display / Point of Sale
Our client, a leading Retail Display / Point of Sale company, are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a background in POP / POS / Retail Roll-Outs to take ownership of complex programs, driving operational excellence and team leadership.
Role Overview
The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end deployment of POP / POS and retail shop-fitting programmes, ensuring seamless operational execution across multiple accounts. You will work closely with account management and operational teams, providing strategic leadership, guidance, and motivation to deliver projects on time, to specification, and within budget. Your role is pivotal in fostering continuous improvement, risk management, and establishing best practices within the programme lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Oversee operational teams managing multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery aligned with client requirements. Promote ownership, decision-making, and professional development among team members.
- Operational Delivery: Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and communicate updates effectively. Coordinate with departments to meet project milestones and quality standards.
- Budget & Resource Management: Track costs, prepare reconciliations, and oversee resource deployment. Manage activities related to manufacturing, installation, and inventory, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain consistent communication with clients, attend project meetings, and ensure expectations are met or exceeded. Facilitate specification changes and coordinate with design and engineering teams.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure quality control parameters are upheld and all documentation, from operation manuals to technical sets, are complete, accurate, and timely.
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence and mentor team members
- Experience in project management within the Point of Sale / retail shop-fitting sector
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Solution-oriented mindset with proactive decision-making ability
- Knowledge of production techniques and inventory management systems
- IT proficiency using Word, Excel, Project, and business management software
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable to change
