Senior Artworker
Glencourt Associates is pleased to partner with our client who are seeking a Senior Artworker to join their dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to and lead within a creative environment specialising in retail and POS projects.
Role Overview
The Senior Artworker will report directly to the Artwork Team Manager, acting as a key point of contact and expert within the team. Your responsibilities will encompass managing high-quality artwork production, mentoring junior team members, and supporting project delivery through organisational and technical expertise.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver precise, technically sound artwork aligned with client briefs and company standards.
- Ensure all work adheres to project specifications, deadlines, and procedural guidelines.
- Understand, contribute to, and challenge project briefs, maintaining proactive communication across teams.
- Respond efficiently to client requirements, cultivating strong client relationships.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion within allocated schedules.
- Communicate key project updates to relevant colleagues, clients, and suppliers via email, meetings, and reports.
- Identify and resolve print issues, artworking concerns, or schedule clashes promptly with managerial support.
- Maintain and organise digital files, image banks, and reference databases in line with company procedures.
- Accurately record time spent on each project to support internal tracking and client billing.
- Develop your technical skills and industry knowledge, including print specifications and emerging trends.
- Support the development of team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Foster positive relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Candidate Profile
- Design-related further education qualifications are preferred.
- Experience within retail or POS artwork environments is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Studio, with advanced skills in the suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Effective communicator, approachable, and adaptable to internal and external stakeholders.
- Desire to learn new technical skills, including print techniques and software developments.
- Proven ability to manage artwork jobs independently and contribute ideas.
- Demonstrable experience leading artwork projects, mentoring, and possessing advanced knowledge of print specifications.
Additional Skills & Desirable Attributes
- Knowledge of 3DS Max is an advantage.
- Resilient, proactive, and decisive approach to work.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Confident decision-making informed by industry and business experience.
Company & Benefits
The company operates a standard 37.5-hour week, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. They offer a competitive benefits package, including:
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata).
