Our client, a leading global Retail Point of Sale (POS) company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead their B2B sales efforts. This is a senior role that requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in B2B sales and leadership. The successful candidate will start as a personal contributor, managing and supporting large retailer accounts, with the potential to transition into the role of Commercial Director within 2-3 years.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand their customer base.
- Lead and inspire the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, particularly with large retail accounts.
Account Management:
- Manage and support existing key retailer accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and long-term relationships.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions.
Business Development:
- Explore and develop new business opportunities within the UK market.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports.
Analytical Skills:
- Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
- Develop data-driven strategies to optimize sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop sales team members, preparing them for future leadership roles.
- Build a strong and cohesive sales team through recruitment, training, and performance management.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of success.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role, managing sales teams and large accounts.
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior analytical skills and the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
- High level of intelligence and the ability to solve complex problems.
