Our client is a long established international designer and manufacturer of leading retail display products. They are looking for a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for the support, long-term sales and profit development of target and existing customers across Retail, gas station, drugstore and FMCG. Your role will be to open new opportunities and potential with the company’s products and services, thus increasing their market penetration.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Acquisition of new customers and expansion of existing customers.
• Continuous development of the customer relationship through its establishment and maintenance at various organizational levels.
• Preparation and timely communication of project proposals, offers, reports and meeting reports to customers.
• Overview of all invoices, products, services and sales prices sent to assigned customers.
• Drafting and negotiation of framework agreements.
• Support with financial issues (e.g. outstanding receivables) with customer.
• Handling client briefs and tenders and internally communicating the resulting requirements, including a clear and comprehensive design brief, if required.
• Agreeing on project plans with the client and ensuring that we receive an order from the client at each stage of the project before providing any service.
• Proactive communication with other company offices, departments and team members.
• Preparation and annual update of company strategic business plans for major customers as part of the annual revenue planning.
• Preparation and adjustment of quarterly sales forecasts as part of the company forecast processes.
• Preparation of a bi-weekly report to the Country Manager detailing the most important activities and priorities (opportunities and risks / customer information / financial data).
• Gathering and Sharing Competitive Information.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge:
• Comprehensive understanding of business contexts and processes
• Strong network within the retail and consumer goods industry
• Professional background in retail or distribution related FMCG Experience would be desirable
Experience:
• Experience in key account management (at least 5 years)
• Experience in negotiating framework agreements and project deals
• Experience in the development and execution of sales presentations
• Experience with the sale of investment goods in a single trade environment
• Experience in developing business strategies would be desirable
