Junior Project Manager / Project Assistant – Design Agency

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Director, the Junior Project Manager will ensure the smooth delivery of all manufacturing projects. The role encompasses client and supplier liaison, workshop coordination, health & safety oversight, and meticulous administration. Expect autonomy and accountability in a supportive environment focused on creative and practical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, client expectations, and approvals are met.
- Workshop Coordination: Schedule and track work progress, coordinate with the workshop team, and ensure the availability of materials.
- Client & Supplier Management: Act as the primary contact for manufacturing clients, manage supplier communications, and oversee quoting processes.
- Administration: Maintain accurate project documentation, approve budgets, and organise systems to facilitate smooth project workflows.
- Quality & Problem Solving: Identify issues early, implement solutions, and ensure project quality standards are upheld.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing project management or workshop environment.
- Proven knowledge of woodwork, joinery, or bespoke manufacturing sectors.
- Strong organisational abilities and administrative competency.
- Confident in client and supplier-facing interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with creative manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with quoting, cost-tracking, and supplier negotiations.
- Previous project management experience, ideally within a design or manufacturing context.

Salary
Circa £27,000 – £35,000 DOE
