Our client is a long established designer and manufacturer of leading retail display products. They are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to attract new clients and create new opportunities by closing large brand global accounts within target markets selling the company’s products and services.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Identify, develop and close new profitable business opportunities within target markets.
- To manage the customer relationship by building and maintaining rapport with customers at different organisational levels.
- To manage and communicate project proposals, quotations and meeting reports to customers.
- Manage all communications with clients regarding new developments.
- Manage contract negotiations with support from department heads.
- Receive, understand and document briefs from customers and communicate their requirements internally including a clear and comprehensive design brief.
- Send a bi-weekly report to the Head of Business detailing progress, new leads and additions to target list.
- Maintain communication with company’s other international offices to monitor any global developments.
- Meet with the Finance department to determine adequate credit and collection procedures.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent understanding and experience of the Retail Fit Out / POS industry.
- Experience of working in a sales capacity; including upselling products and services as well as negotiating on contracts / deals and executing sales presentations.
- Experience of working on business strategies and reporting on this.
- Experience of reporting on year-end sales forecasts and revision of these figures as requested.
- Excellent at building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to strengthen company network.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills, with the ability to work with multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Self-confidence with the ability to be both persuasive and a good listener – understanding the client’s needs.
- Current driving licence.
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel to international company offices and other locations within Europe and overseas when necessary.
