Account Manager – Retail Fixtures / POS
Our client, a designer, manufacturer and installer of bespoke store fixtures, displays and POS is looking for a professional and results-driven Account Manager to join their team.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will take strategic ownership of delivering the company's revenue and growth targets. This role requires developing and strengthening customer relationships across all touch points, expanding market share, and driving new category development within existing client accounts. You will also be responsible for managing a team of Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve growth aligned with the company's objectives.
- Secure new business within existing accounts, manage negotiations, and oversee commercial contracts to meet revenue and margin goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and convert NPD opportunities, working closely with Creative Design, to increase market share.
- Understand customer challenges; develop solutions that add value and meet client needs.
- Engage with customers to nurture relationships and explore new business opportunities.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure the voice of the customer is central to service delivery.
- Share market intelligence and competitor insights to optimise profitability and market positioning.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience selling solutions within the Retail, Brands, Convenience, or Services sectors, particularly in installation services.
- A strong track record of delivering new business and fostering account growth in challenging environments.
- Excellent relationship-building skills across multiple contact points within organisations.
- Effective understanding of customer decision-making processes and value-based selling.
- Ability to plan, organise, and manage complex customer relationships and commercial negotiations.
- Knowledge of industry legislation and a proactive approach to compliance and risk management.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, evidenced through impactful reports and pitches.
- Driven, energetic, with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and resilience under pressure.
- Strong time management and independence, capable of working self-sufficiently.
- Previous hands on people management.
