This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading Retail Point of Sale (POS) company where you will be responsible for managing both new and existing customer accounts . This will involve liaising across the wider business with the project management, customer service, marketing, design, finance and product teams. You must have knowledge of manufacturing processes, as well as experience of retail / instore equipment, core fixtures / fittings and POS as you will be dealing with Retailers and their equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Closely and proactively managing customer relationships in order to achieve the annual sales target.
- Developing and negotiating business plans that deliver results.
- Managing the P&L of the accounts: turnover & gross profit, as well as supporting invoicing and credit control efforts where required.
- Knowledgeable about competitor activity and performance, and on the wider trends in the market.
- Develop account strategy, plans, and activity, working as a close partner to the Marketing and Supply Chain teams.
- Build launch and promotion activities based on the Group marketing sales cycles.
- Ensuring quality forecasting of the demand in the nominated accounts.
- Proactively seeking out opportunities to drive business growth, whether through existing accounts, or new business.
- Working with design, product development and marketing to lead category recommendations for the company across customers & ensure they have the most effective solutions.
Professional and Personal Background:
- 5+ years’ experience in retail in the UK within a POS/P or Shop-Fit business.
- Currently working at an experienced Account Manager (AM) level.
- Numerate with a good understanding of account management financials.
- Independent and self-driven but thrive as a hard-working team member.
- Highly efficient, detail-orientated, and organised.
- Show initiative to seek out new opportunities and different ways of working.
- Combine the ability for strategic thinking with a strong hands-on attitude.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build credible relationships quickly.
- Able to manage difficult situations effectively.
