3D / Retail Designer – Technical Design & Visualisation
Junior / Mid-weight / Senior considered
We’re looking for a 3D-focused retail designer and problem solver to join a close‑knit, highly collaborative studio that designs and delivers physical brand environments for some of the world’s best‑known global brands.
This is a hands‑on role with a strong emphasis on technical development, detailed design and high‑quality visualisation—bringing established brand worlds to life in real, buildable, real‑world environments.
About the Studio
You’ll be joining a small (8‑person) specialist design consultancy with a genuinely global footprint. From a beautiful village studio setting in leafy Buckinghamshire, the team works on projects across international markets and worldwide locations.
Despite its size, the studio operates at a high level—trusted by major global brands to develop and deliver complex retail fixtures, installations and brand environments. The directors are hands‑on, the culture is collaborative, and people care deeply about both the work and the team.
It’s the kind of place where ideas are shared openly, standards are high, and the coffee machine is genuinely excellent.
The Role
The position is suited to a product, industrial or furniture designer with strong 3D skills and a practical mindset. The work is rarely “blank page” conceptual design; instead, you’ll be:
- Developing retail fixtures, furniture and branded elements
- Translating established brand guidelines into physical environments
- Producing detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Creating high‑quality 3D models and visualisations
- Working closely with senior designers, directors and global clients
- Solving real‑world design and production challenges
The scale of projects varies hugely—from individual units through to full retail environments—often adapted across multiple international locations.
Software & Skills
- Strong proficiency in Vectorworks (CAD/technical detailing)
- Strong proficiency in Cinema 4D (3D & visualisation)
- Experience with other relevant software (e.g. SolidWorks, 3DS Max) is welcome—training and support can be provided
- Comfortable working on Apple Mac
- Excellent attention to detail and a practical, production‑aware mindset
Experience Level
We’re open to junior, mid‑weight or senior candidates and will shape responsibilities to suit the right person. What matters most is your technical capability, design thinking, and ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team.
Location & Working Style
- The studio is based in a beautiful village location near Marlow, Buckinghamshire
- Easy onsite parking
- This is a studio‑based role (not remote)
- Being within commuting distance is strongly preferred
- Relocation can be challenging due to local housing availability, so local candidates are particularly encouraged
What’s On Offer
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience
- Supportive, friendly and collaborative working environment
- Exposure to global brands and international projects
- High-quality studio space in a great location
- Directors who care about their team and their work
- A genuinely enjoyable place to come to work
Why This Role?
If you’re looking to step into (or step up within) a studio that combines global ambition with a human scale, where your work is seen, valued and built—and where collaboration genuinely matters—this is a rare opportunity.
